Framework agreement No. 246/2014 – execution of works for the maintenance of the civil works of the railway headquarters and related appurtenances of Rete FerroviariaItalianaSpA of Jurisdiction of the Production Territorial Directorate of Reggio Calabria, falling within the territorial scope of the Regions Calabria, Basilicata and Campania . Application Contract No. 12/2016 Battipaglia Line – Reggio Calabria: landslide body stabilization between km 70 + 00 and 70 + 200. PHASE I: DRAINING STRUCTURAL WELL.

In the stabilization of the landslide body that extended for about 65,000 m², Geovertical actively participated in the construction of a draining structural well having a diameter of about 9.00 m and a depth of about 50m. The processescarried out were the following:

Excavation of the well and construction of the cladding in reinforced concrete

Performed with TOP-DOWN methodology through the use of a mini excavator. The “smarino” was performed through the use of a self-loading brenna. The excavation took place in stages, that is, excavation for a background of about 2 m, assembly with reinforcement and casting of the walls after formwork.

Construction of platform for drilling machine and drains.

To achieve the planned drainages for a total of 17,000 m, Geovertical built a metal platform where it placed the drilling machine. The platform was stabilized in the well by 4 pistons placed on the circumference.
