Brenner Basistunnel is one of the most important work at the moment. The work includes the construction of a railway tunnel connecting ITALY –AUSTRIA between Fortezza and Innsbruc, which will be 64 km long (a record length) once it will have been completed.
The tunnel consists of 2 TBM having an excavation diameter of 10.71m.
Geovertical plays an important role working within two important macro-sectors:
- Railway equipment assembly on both wooden and iron sleepers
- Assembly and maintenance of conveyor belts system for the excavated material (smarino), both mechanized and traditional way.
This latter working system is without any doubts the flagship of our company in terms of specialization. Due to its complexity, tunnel conveyor belt system represents excellence in the sector of rubble removal (smarino) using conveyor belts.
