Executive design and execution of works for the construction of the Naples – Bari railway line, Cancello – Frasso section, and variant of the Rome – Naples line via Cassino.
The works carried out by Geovertical affected the former Tixon quarry, from which a window of entrance to the main gallery was made. The intervention was designed and performed for the safety of the vertical front of the former quarry, the height of the consolidated front is about 110 m.
In detail, the interventions carried out were the installation on a front of about 6,000 square meters of mesh and metal panels and a 5,000 kjrockfall barrier to protect the entrance to the tunnel and the removal of an unstable rock mass of about 2,700 cubic meters through the use of explosives.
